Apple Watch users can now receive sleep apnea notifications using an innovative new Breathing Disturbances metric. This adds to Apple Watch’s many ways of acting as an intelligent guardian for users’ health. The sleep apnea notifications have received marketing authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other global health authorities are expected to approve them soon. Availability is expected this month in over 150 countries and regions, including the U.S., the EU, and Japan.
