You Tell Me: Your opinions on how we handle the news

When I started AppleScoop in 2006, Apple news and rumors were just getting hot.  During that first year, I was looking for anything to put up on the site – from hardware rumors to news about when Steve Jobs took a shit.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that other news sources would ramble on about a topic – I do not know if the author tries to keep a user on a page for a certain amount of time, or if other news organizations think that their readers are stupid and have to be “spoon fed” on every inch of an article.

What really annoys the hell out of me is, when an author takes up two paragraphs reviewing a story for a reader when the original article is above the newer one, or when a writer tries to inject what YOU should think about an article.  That reminds me of a 3rd grade teacher telling her students what they should think of a book that they had to read for class.

So, my question to you is this:

– Do you want me to keep doing what I am – getting to a point of an article so you can read it WITHOUT bullshit.

… or …

– Do you want me to become like the other sites, and spoon feed you a topic – giving you a dragged out review of what was said in the other article?

Please use the comments below to answer this and let others share their opinions as well.

Thanks for your time.
