What you’ll need to run Mac OS Mojave AND iOS 12
With only days to go until the next version of MacOS and iOS 12 are released, you maybe wondering if your devices will be able to run the newest operating systems. This article will clear up that confusion.

We’ve been running virtually all of the below (except for the Apple Watch) and helped compile this list.
MacOS Mojave:
If you have a Mac within this range, you will be able to run Mojave:
- MacBook (Early 2015 or later)
- MacBook Air (Mid-2012 or later)
- MacBook Pro (Mid-2012 or later)
- Mac mini (Late 2012 or later)
- iMac (Late 2012 or later)
- iMac Pro (all models)
- Mac Pro (Late 2013)
- Mac Pro (2010 or later with Metal-compatible GPU)
These requirements are more restrictive than the current operating system, and many people (myself included) won’t be able to run it on some of their Macs.
iOS 12:
iOS 12 is a huge update for the Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad and is compatible will the most iOS devices that Apple has developed. It has over 200 new features, some of which are ‘under the hood’ to make iOS 12 run faster and better than ever before.

- iPad Air 2
- iPad mini 2
- iPad mini 3
- iPad mini 4
iPod:
- iPod touch (6th generation)
Apple Watch:
- Series 1
- Series 2
- Series 3
– The original Apple Watch is NOT supported.
Apple TV:
- 4th Generation
- 5th Generation
