The court issued an unsigned opinion, and there were no dissenting opinions.

The decision, which came after warnings from the Biden administration that the app posed a “grave” national security threat due to its ties to China, will permit the ban to commence on Sunday. However, numerous unanswered questions remain regarding the practical implementation of the ban, as there is no precedent for the US government to block a significant social media platform. Furthermore, the exact mechanisms by which the government would enforce the ban remain unclear.
