Apple Corps told Apple Computer that it can use its Apple logo as long as it doesn’t get into the music business.  That all changed in 2001, when Apple introduced the iPod to the world.

Apple Corp tried to sue Apple for trademark infringement.  But the company dropped the lawsuit when a deal was reached in mid 2010 when Apple acquired permission to sell the Beatles songs on the iTunes Store.
