It’s been a few weeks since Apple announced Apple Pay.  During the Keynote, Apple made it sound like major Credit Card companies would be offering the service.

So, when I finally got my iPhone 6 Plus, I tried inputting my Visa, MasterCard and Discover into the phone.  Call me skeptical, but I opted to manually inputting the card information.

Much to my surprise, none of my cards worked.  So, after doing some research, I came up with the below conclusion.

Each card has its own representative.  For example, AT&T may be a representative of VISA.  Juniper Bank may be a representative of MasterCard, and so on.

So, in turn, the companies that ISSUE THE CARD has to be able to accept the Apple Pay, NOT the actual Card company.
