Rumor: Apple Watch 2 to be Independent of iPhone

Reliable sources are telling us that the new watch “Will be thinner, and have a special chip inside that’ll let the device make calls and/or have the ability to sync to iCloud without an iPhone.”
This possibility is huge for Apple, as the company would be in a position to have a device that no other company would have, and put them in a catch up position, much like what happened in 2007 when the company introduced the iPhone.
The source also said that the company plans to have a special event sometime in the 4th quarter of 2016.
