Rumor: Apple to "kill off" its iPhone 3GS on 9/12?

Rumors are coming in that Apple will be discounting and then dropping its iPhone 3GS model when the company announces its iPhone 5 model on the 12th.  The rumors are coming from a very ‘reliable source’ for AppleScoop.com.
