Report: Dell to be in buyout talks with Private-Equity firms

According to Bloomberg, Dell is in talks with a private-equity firms over buyout talks.  This after the company has weathered sluggish PC sales for years.

“The company is discussing going private with TPG Capital andSilver Lake, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks are private. The discussions could fall apart because firms may not be able to line up the neededfinancing or resolve how to exit the investment in the future, the people said.”
