Microsoft: "No Plan B" if Surface Fails
If Microsoft’s Surface tablets fail to take off, the company does not have a backup plan so much as a plan to keep tweaking its approach until Surface succeeds, according to the company’s chief financial officer, Peter Klein, speaking at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference on Wednesday.

The device continues to struggle against the Apple iPad. Microsoft continues to “dances around” questions about the number of units sold, only saying that the device “has sold out in our retail stores.”
