MacOS Sonoma: How to add widgets to your desktop
One of the great new features of MacOS Sonoma is the ability to add widgets to your Desktop. Widgets allow a user to have quick, updated information at a glance – just like they can on an iOS device.

Adding widgets is simple.
- Go to a blank area of the Desktop.
- Right click.
- From the drop-down menu, select Edit Widgets….
- A Widget window will appear from the bottom of the screen.
- Select a widget, then drag and drop it on the screen.
- Move the widget to where ever you’d like.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each widget you’d like to add.
- That’s it.
