What IS Universal Control?

Universal Control allows a single mouse and keyboard on a Mac to control additional Macs and iPads, simply by dragging the mouse cursor over to those screens or devices.  This would be a great way to share complex projects over devices with multiple people.

  • MacBook Pro (2016 and later)
  • MacBook (2016 and later)
  • MacBook Air (2018 and later)
  • iMac (2017 and later)
  • ‌iMac‌ (5K Retina 27-inch, Late 2015 or later)
  • ‌iMac‌ Pro (any model)
  • Mac Mini (2018 and later)
  • Mac Pro (2019 and later)

Universal Control Supported iPads:

  • iPad Pro (any model)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
  • ‌iPad‌ (6th generation and later)
  • iPad mini (5th generation and later)

For more information about Universal Control and how to set it up, read this Apple Support Document.
