iPhone 14: How to turn Crash Detection OFF
Yesterday, we mentioned the iPhone 14 calling 9-1-1 during a rollercoaster ride due to the “G-Forces” the device senses and thinks you’ve been in a car crash.

If you want to turn off this feature (not recommended!) here’s how:
- Open the Settings app
- Scroll down, select “Emergency SOS”
- Scroll down to “Crash Detection”
- Toggle “Call After Severe Crash” off
- A warning will appear telling the user that the feature will be disabled
- That’s it.
Again, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS, but it’s nice to know how it can be done.
