How to write a message in iMessage for iOS:

  1. Open the iMessage app and send a new message.
  2. Tap the text entry box then rotate the phone to the horizontal position.
  3. Now, just write your message with your finger, or use a pre-written message on the bottom.
  4. When finished, tap DONE (upper-right corner of the screen).
  5. That’s it!  The message is now sent to the other person.

Editor’s Note: This tip may only work if the message sender and receiver has iOS 10 installed on their iPhone or iPad.
