In order for Universal Clipboard to work, your iOS device and Mac must meet the minimum system requirements below:

If your hardware meets (or exceeds) the above, you’re ready to start.

A user has to be a member of iCloud and be logged in under the same account username.

For this example, we’ll be going  from a Mac and to an iPhone.

  • Open Text Edit on the Mac.
  • Name the file what ever you like.
  • Type: The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog’s Back.
  • Highlight the entire sentence.
  • Select EDIT > COPY.
  • Now go to the iPhone and open Notes.
  • Create a new note.
  • On the blank note, hold your finger down until a pop-up window comes up.
  • Select PASTE.
  • That’s it.
