A few days ago, Apple introduced a new HomePod and updated its current models with a new software update which included the activation of an unknown feature that senses the temperature in the room that the device is in.
You can gain access to it via the updated Home app in iOS 16.3, or by asking Siri. In order for this to work, the HomePod must be named (usually the name of the room that it’s in, such as “Living Room” or “Basement”).
When that’s done, just say: “Hey Siri, what’s the temperature in the kitchen?” or “Hey Siri, what’s the humidity in the basement?”
Yes, it’s THAT easy.
