Suppose you need to get to a web site quickly. Sure, you can manually open Safari and type in a URL. But then I thought ‘there HAS to be a faster way.’
Just do the below:
- Activate Spotlight Search on your Mac (usually [Command]+[Spacebar]).
- Now type in the web site you wish to go to (such as https://www.amazon.com).
- Safari will open and go to the web site that you’ve typed in.
- That’s it.
BONUS TIP:
Suppose you want to do a quick calculation without using the calculator? Again, use Spotlight Search!
- Activate Spotlight Search.
- Enter a math problem (such as 42+23)
- It will give you the answer of 65 right on the search bar, plus other related information for those numbers.
- That’s it.
