For those of us who could upgrade to MacOS 10.15 Catalina and have a newer Mac, we have the option to extend our display on to an iPad.

The feature (named Sidecar) is easy to set up, implement, and use.

Here’s how:

  • Put your iPad on the right or left of your Mac.
  • At the top of the screen is an Airplay icon.
  • Click on the icon and select the name of the iPad you wish to use.

If you don’t see an Airplay icon:

  • Open a Finder window.
  • Click and hold down the green icon (upper-left)
  • A new drop-down menu appears.
  • Click on the Move to your iPad option.
  • Sidecar should begin working.
