Sidecar is a new feature in MacOS10.15 that allows a user to use a newer Mac and an iPad as a second display.  The setup is a snap, and here’s how.

  1. Both the iPad and the Mac must have Bluetooth, WiFi enabled, and be on the same network.
  2. Go to the menu and click System Preferences.
  3. Click the dropdown box beneath “Devices” and select the name of the iPad that you want to connect to as the Sidecar device.
  4. Your iPad should now show your desktop and you can now use it as any other desktop.
