Now that the Maps app is on the web, some Linux, Windows, and even Mac users may not know how it works, or how to use it effectively to find what they’re looking for.
As you can see, Apple Maps for the web looks and acts like the Mac version with most of the features in tact. For those who are unsure about how it works, please look below:
- Search: Clicking on Search opens up a slide out window with a Search Field at the top, and some quick Find Nearby search topics to search local resources such as Restaurants, Gas Stations, Coffee Shops, and more. Simply click on an option to execute it.
- Guides: Take a guided tour of included points of interests in the local area or worldwide.
- Directions; It’ll ask you for a FROM and TO destination. Just type in where you’re coming from and where you’re going.
- Car icon: Are you going by car?
- Walk icon: Are you walking?
- Lower-left corner: Add or manage a business listing on the map.
- That’s it.
Hopefully, Apple will be improving the maps web app over the next few months and years.
