How to Turn Crash Detection Off on an Apple Watch | CompuScoop.com

Some users are finding that Apple’s new Crash Detection feature is falsely calling 9-1-1 when the device thinks that the person has been in a crash on an Apple Watch.

If you wish to havre this feature turned OFF, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on Apple Watch (or the Watch app on iPhone)
  2. Go to SOS
  3. Go to Crash Detection and turn off “Call After Severe Crash”
  4. That’s it. 

Remember, once you turn this feature off, the crash detection will NOT work until you turn it back ON.
