How to test network connections via Terminal on Mac
Did you know that you can test a network connection when you’re in the Terminal? It’s called ping and it can be a lifesaver if you think a network is offline.

- At the command prompt, type: ping [name of website or computer]
- Such as: ping www.foxnews.com
- It’ll show you the below output.
