How to Temporarily Save a URL to the Dock using Safari
Let’s say you want to save a website’s URL but don’t want to save it to your Bookmarks. You can then create a quick clickable bookmark and save it to the Dock.

Here’s how:
- Go to a website you wish to save.
- With the page showing, click [Command+L] to highlight the URL.
- Take the mouse and put it over the website’s icon.
- Click on the icon then drag it to the lower-right of the Dock.
- Release the mouse.
- You should now have an earth icon showing on the Dock.
- Now, click it to automatically go to that URL.
- That’s it.
You can repeat steps 1-6 for any additional website(s) you wish to save.
