How to take a Screen Shot of your Mac’s Screen
Sometimes, one may need to take a screen shot of the screen for troubleshooting or for educational purposes. Fortunately, this is easy to do on a Mac.

- Go to the screen that you want to take the screen shot.
- Hold down [Shift] + [Command] + [5].
- You’ll have a choice to take a photo or video of the current screen.
- The screen shot options will appear at the bottom of the screen.
- Go through each option and select the appropriate option to take the screen shot.
- The file will save on the user’s desktop.
- That’s it.
For a video, you can then use iMovie to convert it to the necessary format.
