Now that we have electronic gadgets to keep us connected, they become extremely important in such situations.  But these gadgets don’t mean Diddley unless you have the right hardware and software to help you through the storm.  Here are some hints and tips to keep you and your loved ones safe during such an event.

  • Charge electronics as often as possible, incase you loose power.
  • Get solar chargers for your equipment.  They are available on Amazon.com or your local electronics store.
  • Get a battery backup for mission critical equipment such as oxygen tanks or even TVs for information.
  • Download local news and weather apps to keep updated on local news and information.
  • Download Weather apps (such as from The Weather Channel) for the latest weather news and information.
  • If you have an iPhone, use Find my Friends (or even Find My iPhone) incase your family gets separated.
  • As always, keep plenty of food, water, flashlights, etc. for you and your family.

Hopefully, these hints and tips will help you get ready for the pending hurricane.
