How to remove a photo’s background via the Finder on Mac
All new Macs that can run the latest operating system can quickly remove the background from most images. This can be handy when one needs to omit the background for one reason. or another.

Here’s how:
- From Finder, locate the image or photo you want to remove the background from
- Right-click (or control-click) on the image, and go to “Quick Actions”
- Choose “Remove Background”
- Wait for the image to process.
- Soon, another PNG image will appear with the background omitted.
- Now one can use the image just like any other and open it in a standard photos app.
- That’s it.
