How to quickly convert an image via the Finder on Mac
If you’re like me, then you mostly work with different types of images throughout the day. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could quickly convert an image without having to always load an image editor such as Pixelmator or Photoshop? Well, you can by using the Finder.

Here’s how:
- Open the Finder.
- Find the image you wish to convert.
- Control-click on the image.
- Select “Quick Actions.”
- Select “Convert Image.”
- The file convert window will open.
- Select the file format you wish to convert TO.
- Follow the screens to ensure the file gets converted to your needs.
- Select where the file will be saved to (usually the Desktop).
- That’s it.
