The more I use Lion, the more I am discovering how to get my work done faster.

I always liked the Dock, especially since I came from a Windows computer when I got my first Mac in 2004.  But now with Launch Pad, I am liking that more and more.  Especially since one can group apps together just like the iPhone and iPad.  So, I got to thinking, what if I could make my Mac ‘work’ almost the same when it first boots up.  Meaning, have the computer go directly into Launch Pad right after I sign in to my Mac.  Could this be done?

The answer to that is, YES!  It’s simple to do, and more convenient when someone first goes on to a Mac.  It won’t be for everyone, but for those who want to get to work quickly, this may help.

Here’s how:

1.  Click the Black Apple icon and select “System Preferences.”
2.  Select the “User and Groups” icon.
3.  Select your name.
4.  Click on the “Login Items” Tab.
5.  On that pane, click the plus “+” button.
6.  Click the Search Field….Search for Launchpad.
7.  Single click on that icon, then click the ‘ADD’ button.
8. Go out of System Preferences by selecting Command+Q.

That’s it.

Now, log off and then back on, and wall-la!  🙂
