Now that the Gold Master (GM) or the Release Candidate (RC) version of Xcode is out, here’s how to install it on your Mac.

  1. Go to https://developer.apple.com and login with your developer account.
  2. Scroll all the way down until you see “Get the latest tools and SDK” and click on it.
  3. At the top of the screen, select Applications.
  4. Find the GM (or RC) version of Xcode.
  5. Click on the included link.
  6. Xcode will begin downloading to your Mac.
  7. When it’s finished, double click on the XIP file.
  8. The file will open.
  9. Drag and Drop the Xcode icon in the Finder > Applications Folder.
  10. That’s it.
