Yesterday I went over how to hide/unhide photos in the photo app on iOS. Now let’s go over how to do the same thing on a Mac.

How to hide photo(s) on a Mac:

  1. Open Photos.
  2. Select the photo or video that you want to hide.
  3. Control-click the photo, then choose Hide Photo. You can also hide a photo from the menu bar when you choose Image > Hide Photo. Or you can press Command-L to hide a photo.
  4. Confirm that you want to hide the photo or video.
  5. That’s it. 

How to unhide photo(s) on a Mac:

  1. Open Photos.
  2. In the menu bar, choose View > Show Hidden Photo Album.
  3. In the sidebar, select Hidden.
  4. Use Touch ID or your login password to unlock your Hidden album.
  5. Select the photo or video that you want to unhide.
  6. Control-click the photo, then choose Unhide Photo.
  7. You can also choose Image > Unhide Photo from the menu bar, or press Command-L.
  8. That’s it.
