How to: Hide and Show the Menu Bar in Mac OS X 10.x
Sometimes, the menu bar (at the top of the screen) can get in the way when you’re doing something. Fortunately, Apple has provided a way to show and hide the menu bar. Here’s how:

- Open System Preferences.
- Click on the General Preference Area.
- Check the box that says “Automatically hide and show the menu bar” (as shown below).
- That’s it.
