How to fix Safari showing the wrong web site icon

Most websites have an icon that appears in the URL field (where you type in an Internet address) to help identify the web site.

But sometimes, Safari tends to show (or gets stuck) at a wrong web site icon.

To correct this issue, do the following:

1. With Safari open, select History.
2. Select Clear History….
3. At the drop down box, select All History.
4. Now do a [Command+R] to reload the page.
5. That’s it.

Although a small tip, the icon can help you find a website when you Bookmark it.
