How to: Enable Personal Hotspot on your iOS device

Personal Hotspots enable a user to go on to the Internet when ever and where ever they are.  This can be done with an iPhone, and by enabling Tethering on your cell phone account.

Once you enable Tethering on the account, you have to set up iPhone to enable the feature.

1.  Go in to Settings.

2.  Look for an option called “Personal Hotspot”.  Go in to it.

3.  You’ll be presented with the “Personal Hotspot” screen.

* Personal Hotspot – Turn the feature on or off.
* Wi-Fi Password – The password you’ll need to connect for the devices you want to use.

4.  To enable the Personal Hotspot, slide the Personal Hotspot switch to “ON”.

5.  Go to a computer that you wish to connect the Personal Hotspot to.

6.  Click on the WiFi icon and search for the name of your iPhone on the list.

7.  When prompted, type in the password that appears in the WiFi Password field on the iPhone.

8.  Congratulations!  You should now be connected to the Internet through your phone.
