If you’re considering getting an Apple TV but don’t have a reason why – here’s a big one.
One of the least talked about features of the Apple TV and the iPad 2 is called ‘video mirroring’. When enabled, a user can project his or her iPad 2 screen wirelessly to a modern TV. Make sure the Apple TV and the iPad 2 are on the same wireless network.
How do you do it? Here’s how:
1. Make sure your TV, Apple TV, and your iPad 2 are ON.
2. On the iPad 2, make sure you’re on the first “page”.
3. Double click the HOME Button.
4. Look for a button with a square and a triangle. Tap it.
5. A menu will pop-up showing the available Apple TV(s).
6. Select the Apple TV that you wish to project the iPad screen on to.
7. That’s it.
This mode will project almost anything that’s currently on the iPad’s screen, such as some games, movies, a Keynote Presentation etc.
