While most websites are compatible, some are not. Safari indicates this by a document icon on the address bar (where you type in a URL).
Here’s how to enable it:
- Go to a website article.
- On the left of the address bar is a document icon.
- Click on the icon.
- The website turns black, and just shows the article.
- That’s it.
You can also have Safari automatically go into reader mode per website.
Here’s how:
- Go to an article on a website.
- Select “Reader Website Settings”.
- The System Preferences pane opens with a list of frequently visited websites.
- Select the site(s) you wish for reader to automatically come up.
- That’s it.
