Have you ever felt that sometimes your Internet connection is slower than normal, or it is losing data packets when trying to upload a file to a web server?  There are two ways you can check your Internet’s speed and quality by going to the recommended below websites.

  • DSLReports.com: This web site is one of the oldest and most informative sites that I have used over the years.  While its actual speed test can be a little confusing to get into, it does have information and ratings on the various Internet providers around the world, with a message board and various related articles and news from around the web.
  • SpeedTest.net: This website is a more to the point type site. You are immediately presented with a GO button.  Clicking on this button will test your upload and download speeds and give you a final report.  This website can also be used with an iPhone, iPad, and they also have an app for the Apple TV.

Which ever service you plan to use, both sites will give you a good idea if you’re getting the speed that you’re paying for. .
