How to check if your iPhone is ‘Unlocked’
If you’ve followed Apple News for sometime like we do, you know that we maybe approaching a time when the company will announce a new iPhone for the holidays. Wouldn’t it be nice to know if you could sell your current one to someone that uses another cell provider such as AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon, or if it is locked to a particular cell carrier? Well, you can!

Here’s how:
- Go to Settings > General.
- Select About.
- Scroll down until you see “Carrier Lock.”
- If it says “NO SIM RESTRICTIONS” then your iPhone is unlocked.
- If it says “SIM LOCKED” then your iPhone is locked to that cell carrier.
- That’s it.
