How to add/delete different Calendars and Sync them across iOS devices
The Calendars app on the Mac is extremely useful, especially with iCloud and other devices such as an iPhone. Did you know that you can have different calendars for various subjects such as meetings, doctor’s appointments, etc.? You can also update on one device, and with iCloud, have it synced to other devices on the same iCloud account.

Here’s how:
- Open the Calendar app on your Mac.
- Make sure that Calendar is the active window.
- Choose File > New Calendar.
- The calendar will prompt you to name it on the left-hand side, then press [Enter].
- Now you have a new category.
- Redo steps 1-4 to create additional categories.
Now, here’s how to delete a calendar:
- Go into Calendar on a Mac.
- Click on the category that you wish to delete.
- Right click on it, and select [Delete].
How to Sync your Mac calendars with your iOS devices:
- On your Mac, go to System Preferences > iCloud.
- If need be, sign into your iCloud account.
- Make sure there’s a checkmark next to the Calendar option.
- Give it a few seconds, and then check the calendars app on an iOS device.
Remember, the Mac all your iOS devices must be on the same iCloud account so it can sync up no matter what device you use.
