Every once in a while, you may need to include an emoji within an email or in messenger. Getting to it normally can be a pain in the butt.

But you can make it easier by assigning the panel to a keyboard shortcut.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Apple Menu.
  2. Select System Settings (or System Preferences).
  3. Select Keyboard.
  4. Under the Keyboard tab, look for “Press globe/fn key to:” and select “Show Emoji & Symbols”.
  5. Verify the key combo works.
  6. That’s it.
