AppleWatchHeartMonitor

I have had an Apple Watch since it came out, wearing it on a daily basis keeping up with my schedule and making apps for the device.  It wasn’t until one day when I found out how valuable this little device could be.

It was early evening.  I was getting ready for my nightly nap when my apple watch went off.  Not alarmed, I happened to look at it.  A strange message appeared that said: “High Heart Rate.”  The watch detected that my heart wasn’t normal and it was beating more then 120 beats per minute. Thinking it was a fluke (I’ve never had heart problems before) I kind of ignored it. A minute later, the same message appeared. So I went into the Heart Rate app. and found out that it was not a fluke, and that my heart was indeed beating at a rate that I’ve never seen before.

I then went to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack. Turns out, I was just dehydrated.  And I had no other symptoms.

Moral to the story?  The Apple Watch DOES work as advertised. Yes, it is expensive for some, but I’m ready to purchase another one when my current one can no longer be upgraded.
