Amazon’s Fire TV usually works most of the time.  But sometimes, you may run into a problem where YouTube TV may not be able to show a selected channel when first going into the app.  This can happen for various reasons.

If you’ve experiencing such a problem, then perhaps it’s time to reset the Fire Stick.  Doing so may re-establish a connection with your wired or wireless network and clear out any problems that may have come up.

Here’s how:

  1. Make sure you’re at the Fire Stick main menu.
  2. Go into Settings.
  3. Find and go into My Fire TV.
  4. Scroll down and select the Restart option.
  5. Verify that you wish to restart the Fire TV Stick.
  6. The Fire Stick will restart.
  7. Now try the service again. It should work as before.
  8. That’s it.

That didn’t help?  Try this:

  1. When in YouTubeTV, select another channel to watch.
  2. If that channel appears, then select the previous channel.
  3. You should be able to watch it as before.
  4. That’s it.

Still no go?  Try this:

  1. Check your network’s router.
  2. Try logging into a website from another computer.
  3. If that works, try the Here’s how section again.
  4. Call Amazon for support.
