Dos and don’ts when spotting a Drone in your area
Various U.S. cities and some countries worldwide have been experiencing a mysterious drone invasion for a few weeks now. These drones appear at random times during the day and night, leaving the reasons and perpetrators unknown. The U.S. Government has assured the public that there’s nothing to be concerned about, suggesting that the drones might be coming from hobbits or law enforcement.

While some individuals may be tempted to take matters into their own hands and shoot down the drones, it’s crucial to resist this urge. Doing so could lead to serious legal consequences, including potential jail time and a criminal record.
Here are some guidelines for what to do and what not to do if you spot a drone in your area:
DO:
– Contact local law enforcement on a non-emergency number to report the drone.
– Take video footage of the drone for reference and to show law enforcement (and the media).
DO NOT:
– Do not shine a laser light at or on the drone.
– Do not attempt to shoot down the drone.
– Do not call 9-1-1. Instead, use a non-emergency number.
Hopefully, the drone sightings will subside soon, and we can resume our normal lives without any further disruptions.
