Apple has built in the ability for iPad and Apple Pencil users to get to the built-in notepad app to take a quick note.

Here’s how:

• With the iPad in stand by mode, take the Apple Pencil and tap on the screen.
• The Notepad will automatically open ready to take notes.

This tip will work with the Apple Pencil 1st and 2nd Generation.
