With the U.S. Economy the way it is, persons are looking for ways to cut their bills anyway they can.  This means turning off anything that may not be in use all the time – including a computer.

Macs have always had a way to help a user cut their costs with having the computer run all the time.  This feature is called Energy Saver and its located in the System Preferences pane.

Clicking on the above icon takes you to the Energy Saving section.  Their’s a button on the lower-right called Schedule.  Clicking on this icon takes you to the area where you can tell your Mac when to come on and off each day.

I’ve been using it since I discovered it with my first Mac, and it does help, especially when you forget to turn your Mac off at the end of the day.
