Common Mac Keyboard Shortcuts that you MUST know
Did you get a new Mac for the Holidays and are not sure where to begin? Well, first, you should know some of the most common (and useful) keyboard shortcuts so you can use your new Mac to the fullest.

First, as the Apple documentation states: “To use a keyboard shortcut, press and hold one or more modifier keys and then press the last key of the shortcut. For example, to use Command-C (copy), press and hold the Command key, then the C key, then release both keys.”
Command + X: CUT.
Command + C: COPY.
Command + V: PASTE.
Command + Z: UNDO PREVIOUS COMMAND.
Command + A: HIGHLIGHT ALL ITEMS.
Command + F: FIND A WORD IN A DOCUMENT OR OPEN THE FINDER WINDOW.
Command + G: FIND THE ITEM AGAIN, OR FIND THE NEXT OCCURRENCE.
Command + H: HIDE THE CURRENT WINDOW ON THE DESKTOP.
Command + O: OPEN THE CURRENT DOCUMENT, OR OPEN A DIALOG BOX AND SELECT A FILE TO OPEN.
Command + P: PRINT THE CURRENT DOCUMENT.
Command + S: SAVE THE CURRENT DOCUMENT.
Command + T: OPEN A NEW TAB.
Command + W: CLOSE THE FRONT WINDOW.
Command + Q: CLOSE THE CURRENT APP.
Command + TAB: SWITCH BETWEEN OPEN APPS.
Command + SPACEBAR: OPEN QUICKLOOK.
Shift + Command + F5: TAKE SCREENSHOT OF THE CURRENT SCREEN.
Shift + Command + N: CREATE A NEW FOLDER WIN THE FINDER.
