Check How Long your Mac has been on via the Terminal

TerminalIconChecking how long your Mac has been on may not be something that one does everyday.  But it could come in handy when one’s providing hardware troubleshooting.

To see the uptime:

1.  Go in to the TERMINAL (Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal).
2. At the prompt, type: uptime
3. You’ll get the following output: 

18:09  up 20 mins, 2 users, load averages: 1.02 1.20 1.15
