Is your Xcode 16 Recent Projects Blank? Here’s a fix

A lot of developers are experiencing a blank recent projects window when they first open Xcode 16.

Here's how to get it back:

  1. Quit Xcode.
  2. Open System Settings.
  3. Do a search for "Recent Documents".
  4. Click on the first option.
  5. Scroll all the way down to the bottom.
  6. In the Recent documents, applications, and servers section select the number of items you wish to be displayed.
  7. Exit Control Center.
  8. Reopen Xcode.
  9. That's it.

How to ‘Fix’ the Photo’s App Redesign in iOS 18

Summary:
The article discusses the redesign of the Photos app in iOS 18 and how users can customize it to suit their preferences. The author suggests rearranging collections and using the "Sort by Recently Added" option to improve the Photos app experience.

While some users like the new redesign of the photos app in iOS, others (like me) do not.  So, I searched Google to try and find a way to make the app bearable to use again.  This is how to get some of your sanity back.

  1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll to the very bottom of Photos app, at the very bottom, tap on the “Customize and Reorder” button.
  3. At the “Customize and Reorder” screen, tap the blue checks to deselect collections you want to hide from Photos app, and also you can tap and drag the collections to change the order of how they appear in Photos app.
  4. For many iPhone users, moving the ‘Albums’ collection view to the top is helpful, along with other collections they were frequently accessing before.
  5. When finished, tap the (X) button to close and return to Photos app to see your freshly reorganized Photos app.

There are more ways to customize the photos app, but that's for another time.
