Apple TV+ scores 13 BAFTA Television Award nominations for hit series and specials
On Thursday, Apple TV+ landed 13 nominations for the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards across seven programs: “Slow Horses,” “Silo,” “Shrinking,” “Bad Sisters,” “Masters of the Air,” “Earthsounds” and “The Velveteen Rabbit.” Apple’s hit espionage drama “Slow Horses” earns six nominations total, including Leading Actor Gary Oldman, and Supporting Actors Jonathan Pryce and Christopher Chung, while “Shrinking” co-creator and executive producer Brett Goldstein earns a nomination for Writer: Comedy.

As one of this year’s most-nominated programs, “Slow Horses” is also recognized with BAFTA TV Award nominations for Editing: Fiction; Original Music: Fiction; and Sound: Fiction, alongside nominations for global hit series and specials including Special, Visual & Graphic Effects for world-building drama “Silo”; Original Music: Fiction for dark comedy “Bad Sisters”; Production Design and Special, Visual & Graphic Effects for World War II drama “Masters of the Air”; Sound: Factual for nature docuseries “Earthsounds”; and, Children’s Craft Team for family special “The Velveteen Rabbit.”
These nominations mark the latest recognition from the BAFTA Television Awards for Apple TV+, following four wins in 2024, including Editing: Fiction and Sound: Fiction for “Slow Horses,” and Production Design and Original Music for “Silo.” In 2023, “Bad Sisters” landed the Drama Series award alongside a Supporting Actress win for series star Anne-Marie Duff and Titles & Graphic Identity by Peter Anderson Studio. Celebrated limited series “The Essex Serpent” also landed Costume Design for first-time BAFTA winner Jane Petrie in 2023. In 2022, “9/11: Inside the President’s War Room” won Editing: Factual and “1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything” earned Sound: Factual.
The BAFTA Television Awards recognize the best British programs, performances and productions each year. The winners will be revealed in two ceremonies, including at the BAFTA Television Craft Awards on Sunday, April 27 and the BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday, May 11.
