Apple officially unveiled the title on Friday, along with a first look poster. Pitt takes the wheel as Sonny Hayes, a veteran driver lured back to Formula 1. He’ll be joined by rising star Damson Idris as his teammate, Joshua Pearce, on the fictional APXGP team.
The star-studded cast includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and more. Joseph Kosinski, fresh off the success of “Top Gun: Maverick,” directs and produces alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Lewis Hamilton.
F1 is a high-stakes production for Apple Original Films, reportedly costing over $300 million due to practical effects and a Hollywood strike. The film captures the real world of Formula 1 through filming at actual races and collaboration with teams and drivers.
Hitting theaters and IMAX on June 27, 2025, F1 promises a thrilling ride for racing fans and moviegoers alike. The film will later stream on Apple TV+.
