Early Thursday morning on CNBC, Apple issued a rare public apology for its service outages that customers have been experiencing since the day before.

The statement says:
“We apologize to our customers experiencing problems with iTunes and other services this morning,” Apple told CNBC. “The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple. We’re working to make all of the services available to customers as soon as possible, and we thank everyone for their patience.”
At last check on Apple’s System Status Page, all services seem to be online and working.
